Cold Spring day when it should be warm out calls for comfort food.  I always love mixing the da Giulia Tomato Basil with tuna, because tuna in water is rather dry, however, the da Giulia Tomato Basil has olive oil in it, and makes the tuna so moist and coupled with the tomato, basil and garlic, it give the tuna so much tangy flavor, no other ingredients are necessary.  I used a shredded cheddar cheese this time to bake over the tuna and tomato basil, but swiss, provolone, mozarella will all do!


1 6 oz can Tuna Fish in water(drained and rinsed)

1 cup da Giulia Tomato Basil

1/4 onion chopped

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 slices grain bread

In toaster, toaster oven or regular oven toast all 4 pieces bread

in bowl combine da Giulia Tomato Basil

chopped onion and sauce and mix slightly keeping tuna chunky

top each slice bread with tuna mixture and top with shredded cheese

toast for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted
