• 2 cups da Giulia Tomato basil Sauce
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 tsp canola oil
  • kosher salt and fresh ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 cups low sodium chicken broth


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Drain da Giulia Tomato Basil in a strainer.
  3. Separate liquid, but don’t discard.
  4. In a bowl, combine tomato chunks from tomato basil and whole tomatoes that have been mashed up.
  5. Put tomatoes in a roasting 13 x 9 roasting dish.
  6. Roast in over 40 minutes, turning after 2o minutes.
  7. While tomatoes are roasting, saute onions in oil in soup pot, 8-10 minutes until translucent
  8. Add tomato paste, remaining da Giulia sauce, chicken broth and salt and pepper, bring to boil and reduce once achieving rolling boil.
  9. Add roasted tomatoes and simmer 2o minutes.
  10. Serve & Enjoy 🙂
