I will start this blog and the year off with probably the single easiest 3 ingredient recipe I will ever make. I did find a Martha Stewart recipe for Avocado Tomato Toast, but I am certain, if I searched deeper, there would be many other of the same recipe or just slightly different on food blogs, and websites and certainly restaurant menus.
Did I mention the Avocado Tomato Toasts are also completely plant based and nutrients galore. In this blog I am of course going to focus on all recipes that da Giulia Tomato based “pasta sauces” can be incorporated in, but I am also going to focus on healthy eating. In my opinion and in many other health gurus opinion, Tomatoes are a super food, and if a serving or two could be consumed at least once a day, you will be doing your body and health good. I love the combo of a rich creamy Avocado and a crisp cold juicy Tomato and together with the yummy ingredients in da Giulia Tomato Basil – Tomato, Basil, Garlic and Olive Oil, the toast is a winner. By the way, this toast isn’t just for any meal in particular. It can be a healthy snack, appetizer, breakfast, lunch or dinner!
You need your choice of bread
I wanted to keep it totally healthy and chose a grain bread, however Ive served this on crusty French or Italian bread when Ive felt like indulging or indulging guest, because who doesn’t like crusty fresh white bread?
4 slices grain bread
4 ounces Ripe Avocado (1 small hass)
1/2 cup da Giulia Tomato Basil
Peel and scoop out Avocado in bowl and mash with fork slightly so chunky pieces remain
add Da Giulia Tomato Basil and again mix just slightly so chunk pieces of Tomato Basil remain.
Toast bread
Top bread with Avocado Tomato Basil
optional squeeze some fresh lemon juice on top
